Thanks goodness it’s Friday and the weekend is just beginning! Hot days, long hours and crowded commutes make it hard to relax, but it is so important. Relaxation is crucial to maintaining your well-being and heath. Relaxation reduces blood pressure, decreases muscle tension and of course, lowers stress levels. The more relaxed you are, the more energy you will have, which makes you more effective at problem-solving and being efficient.
Here are a few ways to relax this weekend:
-Take a long walk through Fairmount Park
-Watch a movie with a friend
-Start a pick-up game of soccer on your block
-Join Philip Clark, owner of Run by the Training Station, for a one hour on Saturday morning at the Piazza at Schmidts to learn to become a better runner!
-Drink iced chai tea at High Point Café in Mt. Airy
-Go for a swim or head to the beach
-Read the City Paper front to back
-Tend to your garden
