Starting this weekend, the City of Brotherly Love will be hosting the third annual Philly Beer Week. Friday Mayor Michael Nutter will kick off the events at 7:30 p.m. at the Independence Visitor’s Center in Old City.

Here's your chance to meet craft brewers from around the country, improve your beer knowledge and sample Philly’s best restaurants. The fun isn’t limited to downtown Philly. New Jersey events include a free tour and tasting at Flying Fish in Cherry Hill and the six hour Haddon Township Pub Crawl. All events and participating bars and restaurants are listed on the Philly Beer Week website. Be sure to take advantage of the easy public transportation throughout the week and support our local breweries: Stoudt's, Flying Fish, Victory, Yards, Philadelphia Brewing Co., Weyerbacher, Dock Street Brewery, Dogfish Head, Manayunk Brewery, Nodding Head, Sly Fox, Triumph, Troeg's.
