This summer our very own national treasure, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, is hosting a number of events worth checking out.
Now through July 18, Water Work features various print media works featuring the theme of 'water.'
June 17 to September 6 is the Late Renoir exhibition, featuring works from the last three decades of his life, as well as those of the artists he influenced (including Picasso and Matisse).
June 19 to September 26, Plain Beauty will feature Korean white porcelain, which has been produced since the 1400s. The sculptures will be displayed alongside large-scale photographs by Koo Bohnchang.
July 17 to October 10, the museum will feature Hanging Around: Modern and Contemporary Lighting. This exhibit will feature lighting fixtures from the last 60 years, including iconic pieces from the modern era and experimental works by Bruno Munari.
